During the time of the Greeks and Romans, the city of Paphos was the capital of Cyprus and is renowned for its royal heritage. There is a lot to see including the impressive temple of Adonis and the fabulous Roman Governor's palace, which contains an array of amazing mosaics. St Paul visited Paphos as he made his epic journey to Rome two thousand years ago! The city itself has grown from a once sleepy fishing village into a very modern place, which has retained its charm and generous welcome. Well connected to the rest of the island, Paphos provides an ideal base for the whole family, close to everything you would need to live a peaceful, but thoroughly modern life in the sun.
